There are still four more experiments in the kit (which is intended to last a month). So, if we stay on the ball, more water experiments to come! (Although we all know how hard balancing on a ball in water can be. Slippery business one could say...)

H2O: Magic School Bus Experiment Kit
Tackling water is a slippery business. Or wet anyway. That's what our table got today when we pulled out the Magic School Bus experiment package on water. We experimented first with what household objects would float and which ones would sink, and discussed why that was so (plastic versus wood versus metal and densities of the object relative to water). We went on to the second experiment which explained why submarines float by blowing air into a fully submerged pop can. Aidan explained to Summer how air was displacing the water in the can thereby decreasing its density.
